FamilyMart Malaysia Brings Sakura Festival With New Pink Colour Onigiri!

When you think you have tried everything out in FamilyMart, they release something super special. There Is Pink Colour Onigiri At FamilyMart! Yes, they have just released brand new things for you to try in conjunction with their Sakura Festival. If you can’t go to Japan anytime soon to see the sakuras, you can always compensate by heading to your nearest FamilyMart.

There Is Pink Colour Onigiri At FamilyMart!

FamilyMart announced their brand new season, Sakura Festival via a post on Facebook on the 22nd February 2019. Sakura Festival will be here until the 2nd of April. So, if you have tried something you love, you know it is going to be around for quite some time. Yay! Not only they have released pink Onigiris, but there are also some other cool stuff that you need to check out as well!

On the left, we have Ajitsuke Tamago Onigiri. It is described as aromatic rice coated with shoyu, paired with their signature Ajitsuke Tamago. Their pink colour Onigiri that we have been hyping about is called Sakura Ebi Chahan Onigiri. It is a combination of sakura dried shrimp fried rice paired with aromatic furikake. Onigiris taste amazing when it is heated up!

Also, if you are looking something more filling, you can always try out Sakura Hiyashi Chuka. It is a cold dish enjoyed by the Japanese, made with natural red yeast ramen, fresh vegetables, and refreshing sauce. To be honest, we didn’t know that sauces can be described as refreshing. It says that the ramen is made with natural red yeast ramen, but it looks pretty pink to us!

Let’s Not Forget About Desserts!

Of course, no meals are complete without desserts. They have rolled out three types of desserts and they are all pink in colour! We are so excited! Sakura Lychee Sando is a signature Japanese sandwich, with fillings such as flavourful lychee jelly and lychee fruits. Their Strawberry Swiss Roll is made with real strawberry bits filling. Strawberry Melon Pan has a blend of custard and strawberry filling. We are in love!
