The hype for Pokémon seems never-ending. Three years ago in 2016, Pokémon Go was all the rage all around the world (yes, it’s been that long). Hordes of people would zombie their way around streets at the mention of a Dragonite, even at 3 a.m. in the morning. This year, Pokémon Detective Pikachu garnered quite the fan-base this year. And now? We have The Pokémon Company collaborating with The Sweet Dynasty (糖朝) to produce Official Pokémon Bubble Tea in Japan starting on the 10th of July!
Official Pokémon Bubble Tea
Aptly timed to coincide with the hot summer weather that is rolling over Japan now, many people will be more than happy to hold a Pokémon-themed bubble tea in hand as they get from Point A to Point B. Called Pokémon Meets Sweet Dynasty Hong Kong Bubble Tea Drink Bar, this new collaboration will see a wide range of new bubble teas available in The Sweet Dynasty restaurant all across Japan!
1. Pikachu Bubble Mango Smoothie Bubble Tea (756 yen)
2. Bulbasaur Matcha Bubble Tea (648 yen)
3. Eevee Milk Bubble Tea (540 yen)
4. Mew Watermelon Smoothie Bubble Tea (756 yen)
5. Plenty of Pikachu Melon Soda Bubble Tea (648 yen)
6. Plenty of Pikachu Rainbow Soda Bubble Tea (756 yen)
Using their own unique recipes and secret ingredients, their themed bubble teas will have colours in line with the Pokémon of which they correspond to. Between roasted teas, fruit smoothies, and sparkling soda, it’ll all be everything and anything a person would need to counter the hot weather.
Where & When Will it be Available in My Mouth?
The new drinks will be widely available, as every The Sweet Dynasty outlet in Japan will bring them to their counters starting from the 17th of July until the end of September.
But wait! Don’t wanna wait? Wait no more! Better make sure you wake up super early to be ahead of the queue that will form at Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. New Hall from the 10th of July ’till the 16th of July, as a pop-up store will… well, pop-up there just to let you have a taste of the Official Pokémon Bubble Tea ahead of everyone else! The pop-up store will pop right back up from the 31st of July to the 13th of August, should anyone still wish to experience its novelty.
