This A&W Branch In PJ Hires Senior Citizens And People With Disabilities As Their Staffs

Getting a job can be difficult for some of us but it is even more difficult for the senior citizens and people with disabilities. This A&W branch in PJ is creating opportunities for senior citizens and people with disabilities by hiring them to join the team.

Inclusion Is Important In This Day And Age

When there was less awareness about inclusion, it was easier to exclude the senior citizens and people with disabilities. Recently, Cikgu Brian who is also a Twitter user posted about A&W in Petaling Jaya hiring senior citizens and people with disabilities as their staffs. There were a lot of positive responses to his tweet.

Besides positive responses, some were sharing about places that are including senior citizens and people with disabilities into their team. Those places include a KFC in Sabah, another A&W branch in Sungai Buloh and a McDonald’s in Kuala Trengganu. This is definitely a very inspiring thread.

What is even more inspiring is that all the other staffs were also using sign language to communicate with each other. This way, senior citizens and people with disabilities are able to find a sense of belonging in their workplace.

Inclusion is an important topic to raise awareness and educate the public about. In this fast-paced society, no one should be excluded; instead, we should help each other to rise to our own abilities.
